Snippets
Every week (perhaps even twice a week), I’ll be adding a post with short comments called “Snippets.”
Basically, these “snippets” will be a response to what others are saying about travel. This will include commenting on writers from major publications and anyone who leaves a post in their comments section or writes in a letter.
It will solely be my opinion, my slant. In some comments I will sound controversial or critical. I’ll be as constructive as possible, but sometimes it’s the only way to get a response. Commenting expands our views, hopefully to get to the bottom of an issue, with suggestions, advice, etc.
I won’t mention the name of the article writer, where it was published, etc., or the commenters or the letter writers as well as any link (unless I deem it necessary for informational purposes). I’ll just do a summary of what I’m commenting on.
Note: the comments in blockquotes are my responses. Some of these comments have been posted somewhere (comments sections or forums), while others haven’t. Those that haven’t been posted may have rubbed the editor or article writer the wrong way. Perhaps simply because they couldn’t handle a truthful opinion or a bit of advice.
