Hotel Grand Pacific Singapore

Good Choice Mid-range Hotel

My third stay at this well located hotel in the heart of Bugis. This time for one night only. Like in my previous visits the staff were attentive and courteous, at check-in, check-out and when I had any questions that needed answered.

The room 617, a Deluxe Twin, at the rear of the building faces the Royal at Queens Hotel. These rooms a reasonably spacious, like all the rooms in the Grand Pacific. Bed mattress was firm and comfortable. Sheets looked clean. Bathroom on the aged side, door, grout, fixtures, etc., but in general clean. The chunky furniture, as in my previous visit, is dated, but as I’m used to them now they don’t worry me.

On level 5 there is a decent sized swimming pool and several showers that one can use after checking out. Just ask at reception. They will give you access so that you can freshen up. The showers are old but I have found as long as the water from the shower heads work, I would say there shouldn’t be any issues. Towels are fluffy and clean. These are the same ones used at the pool. When used just leave them in a big basket outside the showers.

My breakfast from the buffet. A variety of Asian and European. The omelette and filling can be ordered from the chef.

So if you’re not too concerned about the little things and want a good buffet breakfast in a well located and reasonably priced hotel, the Grand Pacific is a good choice.

If I don’t find a better deal close by or try something else to experience in Singapore, I’ll come back here again, no questions asked.
